Fuerpla participated in the optimisation and support of the cheese portioning line at De Volle Maan, Belgium.

Recently, we had the privilege of participating in an exciting project at De Volle Maan, an organic goat cheese farm in Belgium. This charming place, with its idyllic setting, is home to more than 600 free-range goats that produce the milk used to make a variety of artisanal cheeses. These cheeses are remarkable for their appearance, flavour and texture, the result of the expertise and craftsmanship of their producers.

De Volle Maan: An Artisanal and Sustainable Production Model

Since 1994, De Volle Maan has been producing raw goat’s milk cheeses in an artisanal way on their farm. They exclusively use their own organic goat’s milk, milking their goats twice a day. This approach not only avoids unnecessary transport but also guarantees a product they can stand behind 100%, ensuring a transparent, fresh, and sustainable chain.

The Participation of Industrial Fuerpla

The implementation of these technological solutions has transformed artisanal cheese production at De Volle Maan. The benefits include:

  • Optimisation of the production process: Firstly, the portioning line significantly reduces production times, allowing the farm to handle larger volumes more efficiently.

  • Superior Product Quality: Fuerpla and Omet’s advanced technologies ensure that each portion of cheese meets the highest quality standards.

  • Maintenance of craftsmanship: Despite the modernization of the process, the essence of craftsmanship and the high quality that characterizes De Volle Maan cheeses has been preserved.

Conclusion

At De Volle Maan, the combination of traditional craftsmanship and advanced technology has resulted in cheese production that is not only efficient and of high quality but also sustainable and environmentally friendly. Industrial Fuerpla is therefore proud to have contributed to this project, demonstrating how technology can be harmoniously integrated with craftsmanship to create exceptional products.

With the remarkable growth of De Volle Maan, Industrial Fuerpla had the opportunity to implement, optimize, and support the farm’s cheese portioning line. Through our distributor, Buysse Food Machinery, and in collaboration with the Italian manufacturer Omet Foodtech (which we exclusively distribute in Spain), we developed an advanced portioning line, which includes:
